Hi there! I’m James, and I’m an experienced woodturner and craftsman from Virginia. My passion for woodworking began in my early twenties, and since then, it has blossomed into a lifelong love affair with everything related to wood. Nowadays, I spend most of my time in my workshop, a cosy space filled with tools and equipment. Here, I can be found turning pieces of wood on my lathe, shaping them into intricate designs that I have envisioned in my mind.

For me, woodworking is not just a job or a hobby, it’s an art form. I take great pride in every piece that I create, striving to make pieces that are not just beautiful to look at, but also functional and practical. Whether I’m crafting a bowl, a vase, or a piece of furniture, I always work to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, creating pieces that are truly unique and one-of-a-kind.

In my workshop, the air is always filled with the rich, earthy scent of freshly turned wood. It’s a comforting aroma that never fails to put me at ease, and I find that it helps me to focus on my work and achieve a sense of inner calm. It’s a feeling that I think all woodworkers can relate to – the sense of satisfaction that comes from creating something beautiful and useful with your own two hands.
